At Discovery Days, we strive to keep our community as safe as possible. We have developed and instilled many protocols and procedures to ensure that we minimize the risk of COVID-19 spreading. Together, with the effort of our parents and staff members, we do our best to keep a safe and healthy environment for our community.

  • Children are not permitted to childcare with any symptoms of COVID-19 including fever of 100.4 or higher, diarrhea, vomiting, or a new cough.

  • Children's temperatures are taken twice daily (before entering the school and mid afternoon).

  • We do two daily health screenings for staff and they are not permitted on campus if they have any symptoms of illness.

  • Children enrolled in the Two Year Old Program, any of our Preschool Programs or in our TK program, are required to wear a mask indoors (except when sleeping and eating).

  • In the event that a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19, we will notify the public health department and families of the possible exposure at the center. All close contacts will be informed and asked to quarantine away from the school for 10 days once we receive confirmation of a positive case.

  • Any student or staff member who has been exposed to COVID- 19 must quarantine away from the school for 10 days.

  • Families or staff who travel outside of Southern California must quarantine away from the school for 10 days.

  • As an added safety measure, Discovery Days gets a deep disinfecting service regularly.

    • Deep Cleaning of High Contact Areas

    • Fogging All General Areas by Applying Disinfectant Chemical Vapor with a Humidity of 0.5

    • All porous surfaces penetrated

    • Organic Green Disinfectant approved by the FDA
