Discovery Days Preschool is the heartfelt vision of husband-and-wife team, Dione and Lisa Scott. Together, they are raising three young sons and are actively involved in their local community—both as educators and engaged parents.

Lisa brings over a decade of hands-on experience in early childhood education. She holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Loyola Marymount University (LMU), is a certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, and a Child Behavior Specialist. She is currently furthering her leadership journey by pursuing an Educational Leadership Certificate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her passion for nurturing the whole child is reflected in the warm, developmentally rich environment at Discovery Days.

Dione, a seasoned entrepreneur with a background in business and sales, plays a vital role in the strategic growth and operations of the school. His leadership has helped guide Discovery Days' successful expansion to two thriving preschool centers, with a third location opening in 2025.

The Scotts are excited to announce their next chapter: Discovery Days Montessori, a private school for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students, set to open in 2025. This new venture will continue their mission of delivering high-quality, child-centered education to local families.

We also envisioned a place for parents of young children to find community and support, as they navigate the fun, sometimes challenging but always adventurous journey into parenthood. Equally as important we wanted to create a work place for our teachers to feel fully supported emotionally and creatively, in their work with young children"
